Fair carnage

We went to the state fair and sprung for the Demolition Derby as well. BOY HOWDY we got our money’s worth- bump-to-pass races, BUS races, BOAT races (Cars pulling boats. no trailers.)

I liked the “hornet class” for young drivers, I think 13 to 16? The winner was THIRTEEN. I could barely do a wheelie on my schwinn when I was 13!

The car was sponsered by a hay company! Out in the countryside beyond Arlington I think. They asked him who helped get the car souped up, he said, “Mom, dad, my uncle, and grandpa”. These are some Americans here, I tell you what!

The actual deomolition derby was almost anticlimactic! Then fireworks. Then we all went out to sit on highway 2 for an hour or so. The dog was so glad to see up when we got home, had to go out and pee for like 10 minutes. Good boy.
