The trains used to run on time!

1966 model train layout.

When I was a kid, I got this train set for Christmas- My parents later sold it to pay for my cub scout uniform! That sure wasn’t my idea.

I loved this railroad. It didn’t have a lot of scenery, no HO scale people, just a big oval and some buildings, on plywood. I would have liked to have had the equipment to have them crash and burst into flames, like the Gomez Adams layout. Still, it entertained me for hours.

But then my parents sold it to pay for my cub scout uniform! That sure wasn’t my idea. Doesn’t sound like a fair trade either.
