Safety begins at home

I don’t understand how the lady in this postcard managed to slip on a bar of soap that started in the bathroom and ended up taking the throw rug and the bather down the hall, probably around the corner, then down the stairs on her rump? Isn’t it against building codes to put the bathroom directly at the top of the stairs?

I suppose if she had a bathrobe she could have been on something like “America’s Funniest Home Videos”.
