Got a VPN, watching Netflix like a Brit

Some NORD servers in the UK area

Due to a misunderstanding on my part, I signed up with NordVPN, with that virtual private network, I can have a look and watch programs on Netflix (Or Hulu, or other pay streams I might subscribe to) – Programs that are not necessarily viewable from US servers. (But many of them are, as it turns out.) The deal I bought was about $90 for 2 years of service. Works out to about $3.75 a month, but paid up front.

So far, it does seem that there are a lot of programs and movies normally unavailable in the US, but I wish there was a way to get a side-by-side listing. The ladies here found The Gilmore Girls on the British site, but I don’t know if it is available in the USA.

Paying for two years up front is a bit risky, Netflix could have a bad hair day and block those servers, as they have done with some other data centers that process VPN data. Of course, a VPN does offer some degree of privacy and security, I am pretty sure it is blocking Facebook from sticking their nose in what I am clicking on, and selling that targeted advertising to other internet dirtbags.

I am old enough to remember getting on “the information superhighway” and playing online games, chatting with my “online friends”, and having all sorts of fun, until my wife picked up the phone to call her mom and thus killing my connection.

But I digress. Nord also offers a password manager at NordPass.com but there doesn’t seem to be a way to get a package deal. I use the FREE password manager TAGPACKER and it works well for me. I tried the Nord one but it wants me to enter each userid and password manually!!?? Maybe I am doing it wrong.
