OK, life insurance companies aren’t giving out free guns. Would you believe, a fire insurance company giving out free matches?
These matches clearly state that they could start a “million dollar fire” Maybe today, but back then, a million dollar fire? Maybe if Mrs. O’Leary’s cow took up smoking! Even when I was growing up in the sixties, my parent’s house cost about 22k. Add maybe 20 thousand for the contents, if the car and truck were in the garage; then subtract the deductible… You would have to burn down the whole block to get to a million. Or am I missing something? I am not a claims adjuster, what do I know.
