Gotta respect a go-getter

Not sure exactly what Mr. Duncan is cleaning here. He sent away for a professional upholstery cleaning machine and got right to work, and that is a tough gig for a man in his 60’s.

Word spread about the good work he was doing, and he got a job cleaning chairs at a country club for a cool $600 (Maybe it took him 3 or 4 days? www.InflationTool.com tells me that is over $5200 in today’s dollars.)

I like to think that his sons and daughters hired some people and made a very nice living at this.

He certainly picked the right machine, Von Schrader Manufacturing is still making professional upholstery cleaning equipment, and not in China- Right there in Racine, Wisconsin.
