Look that up in your Funk and Wagnall’s.

100+ years old Webster's New International Dictionary.

A hundred years ago, this is how you googled. The lady pictured here seems to be seeking the answer to the problem of birds nesting in her hair.

She might be well advised to pick up a Sears catalog, or see a pharmacist- They might have a bottle of “Doctor Scott’s reliable wren and crow repellant- will not harm scalp”

When I was a kid, we had a set of encyclopedias, but they were older than I was, and some of the countries in the accompanying world atlas no longer existed. Hence I was poorly educated, and spent my working years in a dingy warehouse, instead of becoming a doctor or a wall street tycoon. Doesn’t stop me from putting “Wall Street Tycoon” on my business card though.
