The Golden Cue – New, Exciting, Different

OK, so a new pool hall opened up. It’s new. A new pool hall in town is always exciting. But what is different?

There is a lady with a parasol on their matchbook, promising “fun in the sun”… But that’s a lie. It’s fun in a smoky pool joint, with all that entails- putting a quarter on the rail to save a place in the next game. Having some chicken gizzards or fried chicken. Playing the jukebox. But no sunlight.

I was still trying to figure out what is different about this joint… But there is now. I don’t know if this a COVID precaution or just bragging…
