Pencil Matches?

I knew something was up with this matchbook, it is extra wide, and very flat.

Inside, it’s a whole new match experience – thin matches with what looks like pencils on the heads.

The Cordon Blue is, or was, a hoity-toity dining establishment/club in Minato-ku, the part of Tokyo where big multinational companies make the deals.

Well… I don’t know what they are doing these days, but I am sure it is very polite and elegant.
