It certainly is well fed!
I love the whole “jackalope” thing, mythical creatures often featured in tourist-trap postcards of earlier times. This one does not present itself as a Jackrabbit-Antelope crossbreed, but rather The Siberian White Tail Deer, which is a common breed of deer. The postcard says they are “large and weigh around 14 to 16 pounds and have a body like a rabbit and antlers like a white tail deer.” Just to see if they can trick some rube into night hunting, it says “They are seldom seen except at night between 1 and 3 a.m. in the very high country of Wyoming.”
