Computers and shag carpeting do not mix

I have been having a problem with my PC randomly freezing up, at the most inconvenient times. Then I have to shut off the power supply, go get a snack, and then return to boot everything back up.

For a time I thought it was the Y2K bug, but then I remembered that I bought this computer in 2015.

Last night I sprayed the guts of it with compressed air, especially the fans. It didn’t really need it. It seemed like the power supply was extra warm, so we slid a book and a spare cribbage board under the CPU to jack it up off the carpet.

It hasn’t had any problems today. Maybe I fixed it?
